Full Moon at 21º Pisces
Each Full Moon impacts us differently depending upon our personal phase of evolution, some we feel more - some we feel less. But one undeniable thread of energy for the collective with this Pisces Full Moon is a the sensation of a container filling up with water about to spill over or a container ready to explore. What’s in that water tank babes? What’s ready to spill? What chaos is ready to be set free? What spilling over?
We also ask, if appropriate to our situation, where is the drain to carefully release some of this pressured feeling of liquid combustion? We can only hold so much, in what way can we distill this? How can Virgo, the opposite sign to Pisces, help us draw out the elixir we are truly looking for within this freely traveling chaos?
How can we bring order to this chaos? Do we even want to? Or do we need to actually spill into surrender & let the waves of water wash away anything in it’s path?
Could I sound ANY more existential right now? I could, but I share these ponderings because Pisces is essentially one of the archetypes of existential drama, crisis, anxiety & artistry for me. And I interpret this space as one that had endless questions, with endless answers, and a space of great knowing AND great unknowing. We know things here in this body of water, sensing our way through the depth - yet we also can find that we know nothing - for there is so so much that the water swallows whole & things look often unclear with nebulous shapes.
We can either let that drown us in anxiety & pain, raging through the underwater caverns, looking but not seeing, losing steam & oxygen or we can adapt with skill & mastery swimming through an uncertain world with curiosity & imagination seeing with all our senses. Each path contains a desire to return to source - to the universal womb - to go “home” - feel…home. Yet one path invites more suffering, fear & lived separation while the other path invites healthy disillusionment paving the way to unshakable inner faith - that sense of home- & the connectivity to the sacred unconsciousness we seek to make conscious.
In the Tarot, the 10 of Cups is associated with Pisces - a card of wish & emotional fulfillment. I see 10 cups being filled with water the liquid is spread out, but it is contained in harmony. This is the highest expression of Piscean energy - working with it’s allies signs of Virgo (discernment/organization), Cancer (emotional wisdom) & Scorpio (alchemical processes).
Pisces is also the last sign of the zodiac, meaning it travels through all previous 11 signs and reaches this point of amalgamation, where there is an omnipresent energy. It’s why Pisces is known to be so compassionate, a feeler of everything, often overwhelmed & confused, attuned to suffering, with this wide open radar to divine & universal energy.
By the time we reach this Full Moon in Pisces - we can feel as though we’ve lived a thousand lives - suddenly remembering & holding the energetic imprint of them all. Tired & Weary is how many of the highly sensitives will likely feel, especially the Water & Earth signs. Air & Fire will likely not be sure what has gotten into the atmosphere, they usually above water, but now it’s like a never ending rain storm all over & they can’t drive - must wait & be still on the side of the highway they were just going 100 mph on.
There will be an uncomfortable urge to “do” - to solve this existential concern right now, right way, stat! or we will certainly die not having lived a full life. Do your best to hold yourself through this sensation that something is slipping away - as there’s nothing much that we can do to “solve” this - it’s more about what awareness it’s making you privy to about what is truly most precious to your soul spirit.
Yes, I know there are a lot of planets in earth signs: in Virgo we have The Sun, Mars, Juno, Mercury & Venus (Merc & Venus move into Libra on the 14th though), in Capricorn we have Saturn & Pluto, in Taurus we have Uranus. Everyone else is probably telling you that all of this can help you put a plan into place & this may be very true for some of us but there’s so much coming up in the collective consciousness to feel very certain and so we are to sit with that very very uncomfortable sensation of uncertainty. In this way Pisces is like death - there is nothing certain about what comes after.
This Full Moon can feel like a dream that spilled over, caught in a liminal space of fog for Neptune conjoins it helping to dissolve some boundaries, in both good & bad ways, so channel it towards those barriers that keep you locked out of your own love or the well intent another’s (or something).
Speaking of Neptune; this Full Moon triggers the Neptune Jupiter square. The Neptune Jupiter square has been present all year - having been exact in January, June & now for it’s 3rd & final time here in September on the 21st. The Neptune Jupiter (Jupiter is in Sag) Square has taught us about our belief systems - especially the ones housed within our unconscious - how they may hold us back with their stories and how some of them set us free & forward with their tales. It may have felt like a rubber band stretching us to our edges of belief & faith - what was a delusion/ illusion - what was true & fact? I know personally for me - this past year has been an exploration of where my overactive imagination steers me down a rabbit hole of despair & paranoia and where it leads me down a rabbit hole of creativity & artistry.
As this is a Full Moon - we are reaching a culmination, a height, a celebration of something that we can see better in our lives but this truly feels like a damn is being broken in the best way even if it feels like torture right now - something is being purged and detoxed from us - for good (That’s what I’m “hearing” anyway). Some karmic cycle is ending that will reset the balance in the areas where Pisces & Virgo touches.
We don’t want to detach from reality but we also want to understand that we WILL be towing the line back and forth between disembodied & embodied energy so it’s okay to not feel totally “with it” and to rest & be. IF you’re feeling epically physically drained (like I am) around this time - Please honor that - your body is not lying to you - DO NOT PUSH YOURSELF. In fact this is good time to dress issues with your health if anything because all that earth wants us to make sure our physical vessel is tended to.
I’m seeing the heavy inclusion of Earth energy with this Full Moon as a reminder to use meditations that ground, to be in & commune with nature, and to get into your body - take good care of it - because you’ll likely be traveling to other dimensions in your sleep to gather insight & information that was illuminated by the Full Moon that you can apply in the “real” world soon enough when things settle & your physical energy comes back online. Your body is a smart animal - do not try to bypass it - include it with the exploration of spiritual Pisces.
One of the other things that I picked up with this Full Moon while ruminating was that part of the reason why some of us are feeling so heavy, tired, sensitive, and want to cry often & hard is because the masculine is coming online to this work the way that the feminine has been at for a while. The masculine is going through an awakening that is knocking them off their feet - they are likely experiencing things that they are not used to at all and don’t understand because there’s a good amount of the normie masculines that don’t “believe” in all this “woo woo”. So this is not to say “whoa is the empath, it’ssss too harddd why can’t they just wake up” (btw Im totally calling myself out with that too haha) because GUESS WHAT? IT’S THE MASCULINE ENERGY INSIDE OF YOU THAT’S REACTING TOO!
This makes sense because if you look at Virgo energy - it can be seen as masculine in a way: analytical, skeptical, results oriented. And all that Capricorn can too: it’s programming/conditioning, limits, responsibility. Even Taurus can: money, resources, self preservation. Yet - these are all signs that are traditionally labeled as “feminine”. Isn’t that interesting?
Side note: 13 is the number of the Goddess - the Feminine - as there are 13 lunar cycles per year. This Full Moon falls on Friday the 13th in many areas. Friday the 13th was originally a day to honor the magic of the Goddess (Friday = Freya Day) before it became hijacked by distorted patriarchal societies to mean fear & bad luck.
Karma is meant to equalize situations and I feel that a lot of us are feeling totally spaced right now because we can feel the scales really starting to seek that equilibrium as the masculine comes online in a different way that it has. And then the feminine naturally comes online in different way than she has been used to as well.
Yes, things are changing - and this Pisces Full Moon is brining online it’s own medicine: how to bend and not break. And we are certainly going to need that for what is to come next: a whole lot of uncertainty.
Wishing you a restful yet existential Full Moon,
