" This particular Full Moon follows a very intense astrologically period: we are coming off of the greatly anticipated Solar Eclipse in Leo and are officially exiting what is considered "Eclipse Season" which also coincides with Mercury going direct in Leo, soon to be moving onto Virgo this weekend.
Nevertheless, this Full Moon while it will provide its challenges, it also possesses an opportunity for us to release, to wash away, to clear out and to surrender epically what has come to pass through this very intense period.
It bears with it the message to release resistance to that which sucks energy from us and overwhelms us. It reminds us that in doing this we can actually strengthen our resistance in relation to that which needs transformation in this world.
Pisces reminds us how much we have absorbed, how full of energy we are. And how it either nourishes us or drains us.
This Full Moon says drink up and flush it out, see what remains.
Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac wheel, which means it bears with it this ability to transcend. To transcend limits, separation, and the material world.
Pisces is the part of us that remembers and knows we come from stardust. It’s the part of us that recognizes the soul, and the oneness that we are born from. Pisces knows there is a higher power working it’s magic through us and around us. Pisces knows we are born of that cosmic magic.
And yet Pisces (and the realms of Pisces: the 12th house and Neptune) also represents the parts of ourselves that may go or have been repressed or that we are willingly blind to because we refuse to really lean into the awareness that...we cannot control every single thing that happens.
Pisces represents our spiritual knowing, our subconscious, our feelings, our intuition, our inspiration.
The definition of “inspire” is as follows: fill with the urge or ability to do or feel something, give rise to, and it was originally used to describe “divine guidance”. Pisces is another archetype that is otherworldly and unexplainable. Mystical and full of wonderment.
It’s the song that takes our breath away for witnessing such emoting is haunting, or the piece of artistry that comes from or to us “out of nowhere”. It’s the scene in cinema that fills us with flutters in the center of our chest, that want’s to make us cry for it’s beauty AND the mirroring of soul recognition. It’s what we don’t have words for, but there is an undeniable exchange of understanding with a look or a gesture. Pisces is the thing that makes us stop and say “This is Goddess, God, the Universe, the Divine, Angelic” and so on.
Pisces speaks to us through synchronicities and through the artistic urges that exist all around us. Pisces also speaks to us through our compulsions that help us escape the suffering of being human (addiction of any kind or any self sabotage like behaviors), it’s the urge to run away and not deal with what’s going on within the deep end of the lake.
When Pisces is around it is known for its ability to bring confusion to the rational mind. There is so much we can’t explain, or justify, or validate with facts and data. And so this is part of the reason why anytime the 12th house, Pisces, or Neptune are in the forefront we tend to feel foggy, unsure, and like clarity is hard to grasp. It’s not because Pisces wants to drive us crazy (a lower expression of this power), it’s because it wants us to trust and release the need to manipulate everything. Which is actually what may be holding us back from true freedom and a more embodied identity. It wants us to have faith that we can navigate with our internal compass.
It wants us to embrace the unknown. And I don't necessarily mean knowing the unknown in the gathering of information sense. But to become intimately connected to, comfortable and accepting of the unexplainable. That it fully exists.
A Full Moon in Pisces is exactly the moment for us to release our grip on what we’ve been trying to control without success. It asks that we raise the white flag and to stop fighting the things that aren’t budging. It asks that we trust ourselves to know exactly what in our lives is requiring this stance. It asks that we trust the “off” feeling. The nagging that won’t go away no matter how many angles we’ve tried to come at it from.
It illuminates for us where we need to let. fucking. go.
Undeniably with the Solar Eclipse in Leo and the Lunar Eclipse in Aquarius, there has been a great deal of anxiety and worry unveiled in various areas of our lives that are calling out for some breed of catharsis from our mental, emotional, and physical grip.
It’s the adage “That which nourishes me destroys me.” which in this particular Pisces scenario can be interpreted as: that which I feel is a comfort to me, may actually be something that is diminishing my soul's expression on Earth.
There is nothing wrong with being fully in your comfort zone, but it is our responsibility to use our intuitive awareness to know when we are starting to fester in mold.
So you ask yourself, have I mastered this comfort zone and am ready to wiggle out of this cocoon?
You may also want to look back to March of 2016, and February of this year for similar themes creeping back in for further investigation and release. And yes celebration too, this is a fruitful Full Moon after all.
The Full Moon here reveals to us that which we’ve been able to connect to and what truly inspires us. That feeling, that urge, that KNOWINGNESS that compels us to show up with our gifts that we may have been frightened to share for whatever reason. It can help us get unstuck by giving us permission to listen to that voice within.
In one way this Full Moon can be deeply cleansing and nourishing and in another way we may have this sensation of feeling overwhelmed because we are aware of so much more due to our increased sensitivity at this time. We are more sponge-like than usual.
We are so much more aware of what is going on around us, especially those close to our hearts. We are so much more aware of everything we are experiencing.
It is up to you to have faith that synchronicities will show up and will guide the way through this.
The Full Moon is also conjunct Neptune which is still retrograde (until Nov 22) which has been working to do exactly what I’ve mentioned above: think with our hearts, move with our heads.
But it stills remains that we can pulled under the tow and get carried away with our imagination. Getting carried away with imagination can be a really great thing when it’s helping us create and carrying us through the more mundane parts of life that bog us down, but it can also be agonizing when we start fantasizing to the point of paranoia and worry.
Overactive imaginations will require our tender care and honest awareness. We must pay attention to the territories they take us to. The Sun in Virgo can help us do this as it opposes this Full Moon. Virgo is an Earth sign that prefers to uncomplicate complicated matters.
Essentially what this Full Moon will require of us is to clear energy and find neutrality with all these very many subtle energies we are picking up on.
As I've expressed, Pisces is like a sponge, it soaks up all different wavelengths. It’s a blessing and curse to feel everything so deeply for we can become aware of so much information we’ve needed from our soul, but we can also get caught up in trying to even figure out if what we are feeling is even our own or someone else’s.
So, the message is clear, that WE need to clear. We need to be more mindful of the energy we are surrounding ourselves with. And for the record this doesn’t mean we only go all love and light and high vibes with everything, although I suspect you’re going to see plenty of spiritual bypassers do that around this week.
What I’m talking about is more from the perspective of, are we letting the energy around us influence us too much, are we in toxic situations or behaviors, are we our spiritual practices aligned with true self awareness or are they encouraging you to “stick to the rules only”?
This Full Moon in Pisces can help us learn what we now need to say “No”or “Yes” to for our soul's sake and health. It brings forward our confusion so that we may face it head on and clear the air.
There is also a tremendous Healing component to this Full Moon. Raven Kaldera in his book “Moon Phase Astrology” describes this moon as the Healer’s Moon. It’s a time period we are encouraged to call upon universal and cosmic energy to filter into us.
Cosmic energy is unlimited, it’s what we turn to when we feel paralyzed and confined by human existence. When we need to remember the magic that exists.
We are called to remember the “God particle” that connects us all and embrace real compassion.
We are encouraged to find the balance between authentic empathy and service to others in a very heartfelt way while not draining ourselves in the process.
We are called upon to fully be here for the pain and suffering of humanity and being alive, but not letting it rule us or drag us down or out (and if it does, we reach out).
We are challenged to not just “light and love and god” but to validate that being alive is hard and painful. That we can heal when we learn to connect to our personal spirituality and encourage others to connect to themselves in way that makes sense for them too.
For this connection is what will actually guides us towards the tools (which can come in many tangible forms) that will cultivate the healing we need.
The power of relentless self awareness is what this Full Moon illuminates for us and demands of us. The embodiment of relentless self awareness that is collectively embraced is also demanded.
It’s also an excellent time to extend your gratitude to the Healers of the world doing their thing. Give to them. Ask them how they are. Love them. Be a patron to them. Highlight them. Or release your own fear of embracing your inner Healer, because we all possess such a gift."
