Happy Moon-day Witches!!!
I love when a Full Moon orNew Moon happens at the beginning of the week. It really sets the tone, don't you think?
If you've been following me for some time now, you would notice that we've had a steady stream of start of the week Moon events and if you're new here...now you know!
The Moon infused week seems to be a thing lately, and I'm fine with that!
Anyways....tonight and tomorrow we have the Full Moon in Libra knocking on our doorsteps.
You may notice a bit of a different energy with this compared to the ultra fiery New Moon we experienced with Aries, and the very Earthy Full Moon in Virgo before that.
Libra is an Air sign, meaning it's very intellectual. It's also a Cardinal sign meaning it pretty much likes to do things. It's traditionally a "masculine" sign in the zodiac...yet ruled by the quintessential feminine planet of Venus. Libra can teach us so much about our masculine and feminine energies it's insane.
If you're feeling a little fucking weird, maybe a bit confused, not even sure if you love this or hate this, or what to even do with yourself....this is thanks to Libra's sometimes spectrum inducing coma.
Let me elaborate...Libra is the known as the sign of balance, harmony, peace, justice, and one to one partnerships. It encompasses how well we relate to others. How we show up. Who we are within relationships. Who other people are. How we work together and interact.
There's is a great deal of contrast that comes up with Libra, a great deal of "look in the mirror".
Libra, in my opinion, gets left out in the awesomeness that is the zodiac a little bit too much. Libra is kind of like the entire zodiac wheel - every end of each spectrum of any energy or element or quality is housed in that wheel!
We think it's all just about relationships, we even label Libra as the flirty type because it loves love, it loves to communicate, it adores anything that is aesthetically pleasing.
So yes, Libra DOES cover all these bases...But have you really taken a good look at HOW important these things actually are?
Libra makes things beautiful. It makes things pleasing to our senses. It envelops us with pleasure and ease. It keeps things chill.
Libra loves to beautify things and that is no small task. When I think of Libra, I think of a fancy flower arrangement that is totally a wonderment to your eyes. I think of an episode of one of those Wedding Planning shows, where someone picks a theme and decorates to the high heavens aligned with that and you walk into that room and you're just like "WOW" taking aback by the splendor. It's the Home Makeover show where the house gets redecorated from the shit show that it was to the place you never want to leave because it's just. so. pretty.
Libra loves to give your sensory orgasms like that. It sets an ambiance that makes us feel something, makes us want to do something, makes us want to connect. That is important as fuck.
So we should definitely be thanking it at a Full Moon. Celebrating the beauty and ease it brings. Surrendering our resistance to it.
Libra is that mediator at the party that makes sure everyone is having a good time. Libra sets it up so that everyone does. Libra knows how to bring people together and is constantly seeking to make sure everyone is getting along.
Libra is CONSTANTLY seeking that balance, so indeed...sometimes..it fucks that up in it's pursuit...just like the rest of us.
Nonetheless I don't know about you, but I think that this world is in some major need of the questions and the inquisition that Libra brings to our relationships and the harmony that is present or not in our environment.
Remember, Libra also covers justice. It weighs things with it's Balancing Scales, the Libra symbol.
So while it is seeking these common grounds all the time, it's also there to help us weigh the options and make judgments that are indeed necessary.
And what is so interesting about Libra, is that it's really bringing forward this sense of Justice that is done in a very Feminine way.
It can be that tough love. That honest compassionate voice. That is stern, yet filled with understanding.
Libra is constantly walking the line of each end of every spectrum and investigating the nuances that lie in all the places. We need Libra to help us cover our bases and not be seen as just a jerk with a missile.
That is why when Libra comes into the picture, our decision making can get a little wonky. It can feel like we are endlessly weighing the options. Lately, I keep on seeing the word "stuck" come up. That can be Libra when it gets super heady and never ends the decision making process because it just needs to make sure it's being as fair as possible, as smart as possible, as thorough as possible...this can be a very very much needed behavior but you can also see how sometimes it can feel like you're going crazy and being flippant or wishy washy leaving you in an extended state of indecision for so long that the decision gets made for you by default. As a Libra Rising, I have no idea what THAT is like. Just kidding, I totally epically do.
Libra's lifelong lesson is to get better at decision making. It's an Active Feminine sign, which as I mentioned earlier this week is great for the Feminist movement.
Libra energy since it's Cardinal, it does want to do shit.. it want's to get things rolling. But with it being the middle of the 3 Cardinal signs (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius)...it does have a little bit of fixed quality that it tends to grabble with...it's almost like a bridge between Gemini and Aquarius sometimes.
Libra see's into the past, present and future. It seems the information gathered (Gemini), it connects the dots between concepts and people (Libra) and then it sees the much larger picture and movement (Aquarius).
So you can see how Libra really needs to be shown some damn love for the job that it does.
Libra can help us sort, it can help us decide but it needs that Venus infusion of feeling so that we can get out of the endless mind game and breathe and FEEL into what FEELS RIGHT TOO. Not just see everything from a space of intellect, even though that IS important too.
This Full Moon gives us the opportunity to celebrate all things Libra.
Here's an example. I was feeling straight up WRECKED on Saturday. I felt sick. I was so so tired and drained. I literally could not fathom tackling any of the work I had to do because it require intellectual and intuitive ability (such is the nature of my Moon Readings). I'm not being dramatic when I say, I felt like I had nothing in me. So after a little while of grappling with that..I let it be and stayed in bed. Until about 5 or 6 pm when I decided I would get up and shower and go look at pretty things. Yes, you read that right. The only thing my body and my heart wanted to do was look at and find pretty things. So I got myself semi together and went to Home Goods, Michael's and Target and found a ton of pretty things that I brought home with me. Things I had been contemplating or looking for for a little while.
I let myself just HAVE THAT. Full permission. I didn't even do anything with the pretty things that night!
And then on Sunday....I awoke to a Mercury Retrograde shit show and a time crunch to finish work before a social gathering.
But guess what....I did NOT feel anything like I did the day before. It was like night and day. I had a decent amount of energy and my mental alertness was pretty high. And I got shit DONE.
That is Libra working for us. It's a pretty deep stark contrast. No doubt that I was meant to experience so I could relay this to you and also have a deeper understand of the bridge Libra walks.
So at this Full Moon release your resistance and judgment around the Masculine and Feminine inside. The assumptions you make about each. Release shame around Light and Dark and see if you can accept that we are all both at any given time. See if you can honor your needs of Passivity and Action because when you give into the need, it can surprise you and it can be free to show up in it's highest expression.
This Full Moon in Libra has some unique stuff going on with it. Jupiter Retrograde will hang out snuggly with it. Which really helps us be way more discerning about the nature of our relationships and can help us slow down our tendencies to look at all the possibilities which can make it a little bit easier to get a hold of a few important possibilities. Aka it can help us discern. Jupiter is in it's halfway mark of it's retrograde at the time of this Full Moon, so this moment can really mark a turning point. We know more now than we did before in terms of how we relate to other people, and the level of contrast that is present in our lives, as well as the healing importance of beauty. If we have done our due diligence of self awareness work through Jupiter's Rx come June, we will have more space for the type of success we truly want. We will be able to hold expansion way better. If we haven't, and we've come at relationships in terms of a power trip of righteousness or have abused beauty or the role of relationships, we may get humbly knocked on our butts. Jupiter Retro makes sure that we are coming from a place of integrity so we can have what we want on a more secure and stable manner.
At this time Venus (Libra's Ruler) is also Retrograde, but she's now in Pisces. And she's in the last 3rd of Pisces giving her a bit of a darker feel as Pluto subrules this area of Pisces. Pluto is about transformation and power and so it's kind of like Venus dives deep within a cave of the Underworld to be reborn when she goes direct on April 15th. This transit here brings in a depth of feeling to help us out, it brings up our subconscious and our intuition, it helps us heal incredibly deep relationship patterns that may plague us, it can help those little buggers come out into our consciousness so we can know what moves to make. It also helps us know what secrets we keep from ourselves in terms of what we expect from relationships and what we keep from others, that may be detrimental to the health of it. It also supports us in getting a clearer picture of what stimulates our souls on an esthetic level. Again, what we find MOST beautiful can help us heal. There is a lot of ugliness in the word that is capable of being transformed into something beautiful, whether that is through a mental and emotional acceptance or shift, or by physically doing so, or by helping out another person by connecting with them and supporting them. This is what this last push of Venus Retrograde can do for us here. It can help us heal.
But, you know pretty much everything is going to go retrograde this month. Mercury and Saturn just went Retro and Pluto is about to follow.
So it's going to be an intense retrograde month that will be FULL of moments to recalibrate so much about our lives.
So give yourself some space to do that.
Connect to your intuition constantly.
Continue to get to know yourself by facing the questions you've wanted to ask yourself or others but have been hesitant on.
This month and this year is all about deepening into ourselves and therefore showing up with loads more integrity.
Let the lesson comes through, they are right there for us, but we have to show up for them and not avoid.
We need the sensitive psychics on the frontlines of the paradigm shift.
